Andrea Africano began her career as an Assistant Public Defender for the 15th Judicial Circuit in West Palm Beach, Florida. As an APD, Andrea has litigated dozens of trials and evidentiary hearings where she sat as first chair. Her experience also includes plaintiff side personal injury law and immigration. Andrea was known for her skillful practice at voir dire as a trial attorney and has secured many victories on behalf of her clients. She is bilingual in Spanish as well as English as her parents are from Colombia and Venezuela. Andrea’s background in criminal defense and public interest and her passion for helping those most vulnerable in our society whether in criminal justice system or immigration make her a great addition to Bretz & Coven, LLP.
